Legendary British band Duran Duran has officially announced their final world tour, marking the end of an era in pop and new wave music. After over four decades of global success, the band will be taking a victory lap across continents in 2025, giving fans one last chance to see them live. This highly anticipated farewell tour is aptly titled “A View to a Farewell” and promises an unforgettable celebration of their musical legacy.
The tour kicks off on August 1, 2025, in London, where it all began for the band in the late 1970s. Playing at Wembley Stadium, Duran Duran will open with a star-studded lineup of special guests and former collaborators. From there, they will travel through Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia.
Following the London opener, the band will hit key European cities including Paris (Aug 4), Berlin (Aug 7), Rome (Aug 10), and Barcelona (Aug 13). These cities have played an important role in the band’s international growth, and fans are already rushing to secure tickets as presales open this week.
The North American leg begins on August 20 in Toronto, moving through major cities like New York (Aug 22), Chicago (Aug 25), Los Angeles (Aug 30), and Miami (Sept 3). The band is also making a special stop in Detroit (Aug 27), paying homage to their early influence from the Motor City’s rich musical heritage.
Latin American fans will get their turn starting September 10 in Mexico City, with additional shows in São Paulo (Sept 13), Buenos Aires (Sept 16), and Santiago (Sept 18). Known for their passionate audiences, South American dates are expected to be among the most electric of the entire tour.
The Asian leg is set to begin in Tokyo on September 25, followed by performances in Seoul (Sept 28), Bangkok (Oct 1), and Singapore (Oct 4). These markets have long embraced the band’s fashion-forward image and infectious pop anthems.
Australia will host the final stretch of the tour starting October 10 in Sydney, before moving on to Melbourne (Oct 12), Brisbane (Oct 14), and finally Perth (Oct 16). These shows will be especially meaningful as they mark the end of the road for Duran Duran’s touring career.
In a heartfelt statement, frontman Simon Le Bon said, “This band has given us the most incredible life, and this tour is our thank-you to the fans who have made it all possible. It’s not goodbye forever—but it is goodbye to the road.”
Duran Duran has promised a high-production spectacle with visuals that honor their music video roots, a carefully curated setlist spanning their greatest hits and deep cuts, and surprise appearances from past collaborators. From “Hungry Like the Wolf” to “Ordinary World”, the tour will be a walk through pop history.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on May 15, with VIP packages and early access options available via the band’s official website. Fans are encouraged to act quickly as many shows are expected to sell out within hours.
This farewell tour comes after a highly praised 2023 album and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, cementing Duran Duran’s place as one of the most influential acts of the 20th century. Critics and fans alike are calling this final tour a must-see event.
As the curtain begins to close on Duran Duran’s live performances, one thing is certain: their impact on music, fashion, and pop culture will continue to reverberate for generations. For fans, this tour is more than just a concert—it’s the final chapter in a story that changed music forever.
