Ed McCaffrey STUNS Fans with DARING Statement on Brock Purdy

The San Francisco 49ers seems to have hit the honeypot with their selection of Brock Purdy. Selected as the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Purdy never expected to start a game for the team.

The San Francisco 49ers apparently hit the jackpot when they drafted Brock Purdy.

Brock Purdy, whom is the last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, was never said to be expected to start a game for the team. However, after injuries to the quarterbacks ahead of him on the depth chart, Purdy got his chance during his rookie season.

Over the past two seasons, he has proven himself, and the 49ers appear to want to move forward with him as their starter for the foreseeable future.

Despite some fans and analysts being hesitant to label Purdy as a franchise quarterback, Ed McCaffrey, who has close ties to the team through his son, had only positive things to say about Purdy in a recent conversation with Robert Griffin III.

He had no doubts when asked about Purdy being a franchise quarterback, saying, “Oh, absolutely. Yeah, he’s going to be playing for the 49ers for a long, long time… Some players are better NFL players than college players because they have that skill set that lends itself to the NFL game,” McCaffrey said.

The 49ers have yet to offer Purdy a contract extension, which is likely to come after the 2024 season if he maintains his current momentum.

Purdy has elevated his teammates and turned the 49ers’ offense into one of the league’s best.

He has responded to his critics and now aims to silence them further with a Super Bowl win next year.
