Guns N’ Roses, the hard rock band hailing from Los Angeles, came together in the mid-1980s with a legendary lineup consisting of Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, and Steven Adler. After securing a deal with Geffen Records in 1986, they began work on their first album. Despite their wild, chaotic lifestyle, it was their shared passion for rock music that kept them moving forward. When Appetite for Destruction dropped in 1987, it was clear that the band had a gift for crafting electrifying and memorable songs.
The album launched Guns N’ Roses into international stardom with a slew of legendary tracks like “Paradise City,” “Welcome to the Jungle,” and “Nightrain.” But it was “Sweet Child o’ Mine” that emerged as the standout anthem. To this day, it remains their most beloved song, boasting an incredible 2.5 billion streams on Spotify.
