
On the evening of March 21, 2025, professional motocross racer Haiden Deegan was arrested in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, on charges of street racing and stunt driving. According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies on patrol near the Walton Sports Complex heard the sounds of squealing tires and revving engines. Upon investigation, they observed a gray Audi R8 performing donuts in the parking lot adjacent to the pickleball courts.
Despite the activation of emergency lights and sirens, the driver continued the stunt before coming to a stop. The driver was identified as 19-year-old Haiden Deegan, who reportedly remarked, “We were all drifting,” during the encounter. Deegan was taken into custody and transported to the Walton County Jail. He was booked at 11:26 p.m. and released at 1:23 a.m. on a $1,000 bond.
His vehicle was impounded for 30 days as per local regulations. Following his release, Deegan shared his booking information on Instagram, captioning it “Certified stunt driver” accompanied by a laughing emoji. Haiden Deegan, son of motocross legend Brian Deegan, has been making significant strides in his racing career.
He currently leads the Monster Energy 250 West championship by 12 points and is scheduled to compete in the 250SX West Division in Seattle on March 29. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to traffic laws, even for professional drivers.
