Mötley Crüe has announced the cancellation of their scheduled performance at the Boardwalk Rock Festival in Ocean City, Maryland, on May 17, 2025. This decision comes as lead singer Vince Neil continues to recover from a recent medical procedure. The band emphasized that Neil’s health is their top priority and expressed gratitude to fans for their understanding.
In a statement released on April 3, the band conveyed their apologies to fans anticipating the festival appearance. They also announced that Alice in Chains would step in as their replacement for the event. Mötley Crüe extended their appreciation to Alice in Chains for accommodating the change on short notice.
This cancellation follows the band’s earlier decision to postpone their Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Originally set for March 28 to April 19, 2025, the residency has been rescheduled to September 12 through October 3, 2025, to allow Neil adequate time for recovery. Neil expressed his regret over the postponements and reassured fans of his commitment to returning to the stage once his health permits.
Band members Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and John 5 have publicly supported Neil during this period, underscoring the importance of his health and recovery. They have conveyed their eagerness to reunite with fans and deliver performances once Neil is ready.
Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets for the rescheduled Las Vegas dates, as they will remain valid. Mötley Crüe has expressed appreciation for the continued support and understanding from their fanbase during this time.
