Black Sabbath Announces joint world tour with Iron Maiden dates and cities revealed

Uncategorized Article

In an electrifying announcement that has shaken the heavy metal community to its core, Black Sabbath has officially confirmed a joint world tour with none other than Iron Maiden. This dream collaboration brings together two of the most influential names in metal history, sending die-hard fans into a frenzy and promising nights of unforgettable live music across the globe.

For Black Sabbath, this isn’t just another tour — it marks a historic reunion of the original lineup: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. After decades of shaping the sound and spirit of heavy metal, the band is reuniting for a final farewell, making this tour both a celebration and a bittersweet goodbye to an era.

The reunion show, titled Back to the Beginning, is set for July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham — the very place where Black Sabbath’s journey began over five decades ago. For many fans, the Birmingham show isn’t just another gig; it’s a chance to witness history coming full circle in the band’s hometown.

But this final bow carries even more meaning. Black Sabbath has pledged that proceeds from the Villa Park performance will go to charity, including donations to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice. It’s a powerful statement from legends who have always stood at the heart of their community.

Iron Maiden, on the other hand, shows no signs of slowing down. The iconic British band has announced the Run For Your Lives World Tour, which will kick off on May 27, 2025, in Budapest, Hungary. The tour will crisscross Europe before reaching other continents, marking another ambitious chapter in Maiden’s legendary touring history.

The European leg alone is stacked with massive venues and sold-out arenas. Fans can expect explosive shows at the London Stadium, the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, and many more iconic spots. Iron Maiden’s dedication to grand, theatrical performances means every stop will be a spectacle of sound, lights, and heavy metal drama.

Special guests will add even more firepower to the tour. Halestorm, The Raven Age, and Avatar are set to join Iron Maiden on selected dates, ensuring each night is a full-throttle experience from start to finish. Fans are already buzzing about the dream setlists and surprise collaborations that might unfold on stage.

The joint leg of the tour will see Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath sharing stages in key European cities. Highlights include Birmingham on June 21, when Maiden plays the Utilita Arena, and London on June 28 at the London Stadium — both dates leading up to Sabbath’s monumental farewell show in Birmingham.

Although their paths will cross mainly in Europe, rumors are swirling that select joint dates in North America and South America could be added soon. Promoters have hinted at massive outdoor stadium shows that could draw record-breaking crowds and give fans a chance to see both giants in one epic night.

Tickets for the first round of dates sold out within hours of the announcement. In response to overwhelming demand, additional shows are already being considered, with insiders suggesting that the final number of performances could exceed 50 worldwide. This could easily make it one of the highest-grossing metal tours of the decade.

For lifelong fans, this tour is more than just concerts — it’s the chance to relive the raw power, anthemic riffs, and dark poetry that made both Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden cultural touchstones. It’s a celebration of a legacy that influenced generations of musicians and fans alike.

As the countdown begins, one thing is certain: when Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden hit the road together, it won’t just be a tour — it will be a thunderous, defiant reminder that heavy metal is alive, loud, and immortal. From Birmingham to Berlin, London to Los Angeles, the legends are ready to conquer the stage one last time, and the world is ready to roar with them.
